I don’t see AAC support in the documentation. Am I missing something? I guess most people have their source audio files in FLAC. You then SHOULD have an option to import that as either MP3 320 or AAC 256. I know from experience that an AAC 256 file sounds almost exactly like FLAC/CD. It offers MUCH better quality comparing even to MP3 320. It’s a VASTLY superior experience on decent 10-30k headphones. On top of that AAC files take a bit less disk space. It would be a very good idea to fully support AAC format for audio assets. A simple reimport could boost audio quality AND reduce installer size for most games.

For audio the standard is ogg.
OGG quality is comparable with MP3. AAC 256 is VASTLY superior in sound quality to MP3/OGG. It’s a VERY noticeable difference on good hardware. AAC 256 sounds practically exactly like a FLAC/WAV. MP3/OGG sound has FAR less detail/clarity/space/scene than AAC. Supporting this is relatively low amount of work, but it could GREATLY increase fidelity of audio output. Especially AAC 256 music sounds much better. There is a reason why iTunes chose AAC and not MP3/OGG.
