About BootCampDemo of mesh_Terrains-> block1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
Is how to split? Is the max, maya? Or unity3d in?
Who can talk about its creation process? Thanks!

That are just meshes created in a modeller, no split
I think he’s referring to how the vertices match up perfectly on the edges of each adjacent mesh terrain.
Well you could do it in max or maya. which is probly what that did. I use L3DT Pro, to create terrains, it has a feature that can split the terrain.
You are saying that this image mesh,
All other software created it?
There is also this splatMap draw in other software done it?
I’ve been trying to figure out the same thing. How did they create the terrain that consists of 9 meshes that all share the same splat map and seem to have been created using Unity terrain tools (trees, mesh details, etc.)? was this made in Unity and then exported/re-imported?
All the other demos are made in unity, at least from my understanding as they all can be done that way. and yeah they did the terrain to be in 9 different meshes to make it load better, i had a friend work on putting them all as one mesh and it made the thing lag so much, so let this be a lesson to all game developers, also the game BeGone from nplay.com doesn’t use it and it lags, though the maps aren’t as big, they lag a lot like that, also the way they use plants, i’ve seen the interstellarmarines map meshes, and they don’t use multiple seperate meshes and their maps lag a lot also, so when you are making a map try using this, since it will load faster.
