it’s a bit slower than 2.02, based on the search speed displayed at the bottom it is not indexing (30ms) so it must be the display that takes a lot of time
adding preview and saved searches in the layout is ok in some contexts but not in others where visual noise must be restrained so they would be better as an option, the simple layout before was much better for quick work
ESC should close the window if it is not docked, but clicking elsewhere will not close it anymore since the window is not opened as an auxiliary window anymore (this was requested by the designers)
Ok so this is reducing the legal file name like not that it’s super realistic but that’s not search’s place to impose file name rules, don’t you think?
As we’ve already discussed last year, a preferred way of handling those queries is to start with an file-illegal character like : or ?
Why is it not an auxiliary window anymore? Perhaps there is a new type of interaction that requires first click outside search window? I can’t think of one. This new implementation obviously gets in the way of work since it breaks standards and transient rules (color picker is transient too) so unless there is benefit to the user …
