About using Serial Port

Hi all,
When I want to through the Serial Port got it’s feedback in Unity. (Unity Pro 3.3.0f4)
But in the unity of the Serial event can’t work.

Now is 2011 July , I find the same issue at 11-07-2008 (COM1 and events)

Nearly 3 years , Is any way to instead DataReceived event??

I would be glad to see another way instead of DataReceived event handler, too. I even tried native code plugin but no success, yet.
