Access to Shuriken parameters

There is no way to edit shape of emission for Shuriken by the scripts? O_______O

So how I can apply particle system for object with emission from mesh of this object? Effect of burn, for example.

The only way is make unique particle system for each object that can fire (in my game this is ANY object) and keep it disabled?
This is totaly horribly

And no way to make burn effect for ragdolls, like in HL2 for example? =\

Hm… Actually I can place several small particle emitters in some point according to bounding box of object. Not property good, but something.
Anyway, will be cool if variables of Shuriken will be able to modify from scripts in Unity4. :slight_smile:

Any news about that?
Seems that with Unity 4 they didn’t update Shuriken system.
Is it so hard to give an access to variables ?!
