Accessing Exif data of textures / images

Hi,

I’ve been looking at a way to access the exif data of images from within unity. I’m particularly interested in the GPS information. The ImageFormat.Exif property of .net seemed promising until I read in a forum post that System.Drawing is not a part of Mono. I do have the pro version so using an external is obviously an option, but I would prefer to avoid that if possible. Any tips on how this could be done, externally or not, would be really appreciated.

Thanks for your time

An external .NET DLL can be used even with the free version of Unity - the Pro only feature is C/C++ plug-ins.

However, I don’t think there is any way to use System.Drawing or other libraries that are not part of the basic Mono setup.

Yeah thats what I’ve come to realize. Thanks for removing my last doubts regarding the possibility of using System.Drawing. I’ll try to look for some suitable external solution. This looked promising: https://www.ohloh.net/p/exiv2-sharp , but it seems unavailable for download. Any other suggestions?

What is it you are looking to draw? The GL class might be of use if it’s lines and polygons.
