Accessing mobile device timer app?

Hi, is there a way to set a timer using a mobile devices native timer function through a script?

I’m working on an app that involve materials with different working times, and I’d like to be able to give the user an option to start a timer for them. The thing is, some of these times are many hours or even days, so it’s unreasonable to expect the user to keep the app open for that long.

Use time stamps. That’ll work much better.
