Does anyone know of a good source for accurate skyboxes for our solar system? (Much like what you would see in a planetarium, without the planets.)
I tried to make an “ultimate skybox” that would have this in it, but was never really able to get it off the ground.
This seems like something you could do in Celestia, but they don’t make it easy – scripting perhaps.
I once did a star-plot using OpenGL points and a database of bright stars similar to what is found here:
