I was hoping to get some feedback from the community on my first mobile (android) game.
What a journey it has been…I actually just got my first smart phone last Christmas.
Thanks to Unity indie, the asset store, a lot of help right here, I created this… 19 versions later…

There are some ads, but achievements, leader boards, localization, analytics…
Hoping to earn enough for unity android pro, that would make a big difference.

I think it looks a bit strange when you hit stuff and don’t explode, other than that, it looks fun to play
Thanks for showing this, the graphics look great. I also greatly appreciate that you did not contribute to the endless pile of flappy clones as your first game. Hopefully games like yours (and mine when it’s finished) will show one man team mobile developers that they CAN create good quality games without a big team. Sure it will take longer, it may not have that many features and you may hit a few speed bumps along the way, but overall it’s more than possible to create a good game by yourself.
Keep up the good work. It’s also nice to know that you plan to further improve the game when you get Unity Pro. A lot of developers release a game and then immediately stop supporting it so it’s great that you won’t fall into this practice. I can spot a few changes that should probably be made but most are pretty easy fixes and best of all they are not game breaking bugs.
Congratulations on finishing your first game. Also congrats for getting a very good amount of downloads.
Thank you…yes, there are problems that have flared up…I moved almost everything to object pooling, I was creating and destroying huge amounts of objects, so, one of the results was that the dead replacement would start spawning multiple copies of itself, the Boolean I set to stop that, is not working, or only sometimes…it is driving me crazy!!! I slow time down…debug every event…think I fixed it…then 4-5 minutes into game play…vanishes again…my forehead is getting flatter, from bashing it against my desk!!! I will fix it for my next version…
Thanks for the positive support Lost City Games, I have learned so much in the last 5 months…Just getting my first Smart Phone for Christmas last year really was the catalyst…Now I actually can create a product and I saw what being shoved into the Play Store…at an alarming rate…So I bought the Airstrike kit, downloaded unity remote, plug in my new $99.00 phone…and got to work…I had to completely change the player planes, That is not from the kit. (no landing or taking off…or speed/engine control)
But you are right very small teams, even 1 guy can compete with larger studios, This is my second post about this game… 1st was in W.I.P…so no marketing, this being the only word of mouth, I do consider this to be a very small success, from my first smart phone to 12,000 active users in 4 months.(I really started Feb 2014)
I am averaging $25-$40 a day AdMob…trending up…(like I said…small success, for a stealth test project)…3 months I can buy my Unity Pro!!!
Thanks again!
