Ad Source for Testing Devices

Hey support,

I have some questions regarding the Ad Source List for Testing Devices in the LevelPlay backend:

I added a test device and then selected Unity Ads from the list of the Ad Source. After some though the selection was reset, it’s now back to Ad Source.
Why? I didnt do anything. When I select Unity Ads, I set the Ad Units, hit apply and then click on “Test Device”
After that I see a “Reset” button. I did not click it, but there is a tiny information box next to it telling me “Configuration will be reset within 60 minutes” now what does this mean? Does this mean it reset anyway within 60 minutes without me hitting the Reset-Button or will it reset within 60 minutes AFTER I clicked the Reset-Button

Also: if it’s the first this is terrible UX, why do I have a timer limit to just test ads?

Then, when I want to test multiple Ad Sources at once? I cant select multiple ad sources for one device. How should I do that? Different devices? What if we dont have those? Adding the same device with another ad source is not possible, sadly.
Constantly resetting and waiting one full hour to test another ad network is such a big time waste or did I misunderstand something here?

@BTStone_1
When your test device is added, you should be able to click “reset” to bring it back to normal anytime to test another network.

The timer is there so that the same network isn’t shown indefinitely to the same device when the test case is over. Not all users have access to the testing module and some forget to reset them at the end. Big QA departments requested this feature.

If you need to access any network for any ad unit any time, please implement and utilize the test suite instead.

Hey @cnguyen_unitylevelplay
Thanks for the reply. I understand what the Reset-Button does, I just dont understand the timer, you kinda only half-answered this question though:

I assume from your reply, that the moment we hit the test button the timer will start and after 60 minutes it’ll reset, yes?

Thats correct @BTStone_1

And clicking reset will stop the test altogether
