I will try to describe this as clearly as possible. The information is as follows:
- Cinemachine Version: 2.10.1
- Input System Version: 1.7.0
I’m using an Action called ‘Look,’ which receives the following inputs: Mouse and Right Stick (PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch).
- Action Type: Value
- Control Type: Vector2
Everything works normally. However, I decided to create a system for auto-detecting the current input to display the correct buttons. I created the appropriate control schemas and separated the actions accordingly. Initially, everything seemed to work fine, but after some testing, I discovered that the right stick on the controllers stopped working. The ‘Look’ action is supposed to move the game camera, and the strange part is that the mouse input continued to work normally.
I’m using the Cinemachine Input Provider to move the virtual camera.
I ran numerous tests: removing the control schemas, creating new actions, separating actions for the mouse and the controller, etc. Through this process, I managed to isolate the issue:
When I add the mouse to any control schema, the right stick stops working. If I remove it, the mouse stops working. Even though they are in different control schemes and assigned to different actions, the simple act of adding the mouse breaks the movement of the right analog stick completely. I have never encountered a problem like this before, couldn’t find any similar topic, and even GPT chat was unable to help me. I need assistance with this issue.
I recorded a video to show it better:
