Adding a custom dropdown/button to the scene view control bar

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to add a custom button/dropdown to the scene view control bar.

Im looking to add a button next to the gizmos dropdown and cant figure out if there is a way to do this.

i have tried using the sceneview.onsceneguidelegate to draw on the scene view but from what i can tell i can not use this to draw on the control bar.
