Hi,
I’m sorry if this isn’t the right forum for this. (Unsure)
Any idea how to add a simple shirt or pants to a 3D model? I can’t find ANY tutorial on this AT ALL. Been searching for HOURS. Maybe I’m not using the right search words?
I know how to add a “firm” object, for example, I know how to add a sword in the hand of my model but how do I put a shirt on him?
If I just attach the shirt like a sword to his body, it won’t follow the animations. Should I add several “attachment points” from shirt to body? Is that the right way to do this?
Thank you.
Well either you need to animate your clothing using the same bones as in your character or you need to use a mesh wrapping system such as in the video below.
Not wanting to use Daz3D (I dislike being too dependant on 3rd party components), do you mean that the clothes should have bones in them and then I connect those bones to the character body and then animate? Or do you mean that I animate the character and then animate the clothes separately and somehow add together?
Oh God, I hope what I just wrote made some sense at all. I’m sooo new to Unity and 3D stuff.
