Admob / Google Merchant Account Question

Hi,

I’ve recently signed up for both Admob and a Google Play Developer Account.

My question is, I plan to release android live wallpapers for free, but with Admob integration.

Now, within Google play, there is an option to sign up for Google Merchant account, if I’m not selling my apps ( i.e. because they’re free ), and relying on income via Admob, whom seem to pay directly into your bank account, do I still need to sign up for the Google Merchant account ( is it required ) or will Admob just fulfil all my requirements ?

You don’t need it if you don’t sell apps or in app purchases.
