Advanced Options in URP Asset missing (Unity 2021.2.0f1)

First off apologies if this is old news, but I just came across it today after updating a project. It seems that the Advanced Options in the URP Asset is now missing. Currently using 2021.2.0f1.

It could be intentional, or maybe I’m am just misremembering where it is, but if you go into the Debug view in the inspector tab of the URP Asset the options still exist (Dynamic Batching, SRP Batcher, Mixed Lighting, etc…).

Bump, same here

Sorry for the confusion, to enable the SRP Batcher:

  • In the URP Asset, in the Rendering section, click the vertical ellipsis icon (⋮) and select Show Additional Properties. Unity shows the properties that were in the Advanced section previously."

We will update the URP Asset page soon to reflect this change.

Hello,

In my opinion, the whole Show Additional Properties, only cause more confusion than helping. For instance in hdrp, you have a cog like icon to show more settings, here we have the 3 dots, and they show only 1-2 new properties. So not only that I cannot find the options I need, they are also hidden per category, so for instance for the light in hdrp, I need to search in each category for a needed feature.

I get the idea of advanced settings, but maybe there should be a simple drop down for basic settings and advanced settings. Just an idea…

I

Apologies if we caused some confusion with the new UI update.

We had received some feedback that the cog wheel pattern was also not working so well for many users. For consistency sake and for better integration of advanced settings into their accurate groupings we opted for this new design for both SRPs now. But if you feel that you are an advanced user and would like to see advanced options all the time, you can go into ‘Preferences > Core Render Pipeline’ and set the visibility to ‘all visible’.

The page has still not been updated. It is now 2024.

This just gave our team the run around for a few days.

The inspector supports foldouts, why not have a foldout for “Advanced”.
