Adventures of Tiro - Wip (Title Also Wip)

Hello everyone!
Today i thought id upload some picture on my progress with my little adventure game, which i must say is keeping me very busy.
So far i’ve been focusing on the controls and visuals for one of the towns. I no what your thinking, “oh no another rpg kid”
But trust me i’ve been there, done that. And i realise the work that is needed for something so huge. My main focus now is to display as many assets as possible with great performance.

All of my models are low poly, for ex, The little houses are only 108 pols and 216 tris. I plan to keep it this way. The highest polygon count would be the trees which are roughly 1k give or take, i may be chopping them down :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: as i go along.
I have also uv’d all of my models and used very low amounts of materials, All the buildings and structures you see are running of two materials, including the fences, chests, tables ec.

My biggest worry would be the inventory, really not sure how i can get around that. If anyone has any information on a simple easy edited inventory package please let me know.

Anyway enough talk, have a look at the pictures and also check out my youtube, although much has been done since my latest video.

Please also note* due to my braindead creativity, some of the textures are not mine.

Good st00f, keep it up!

Thanks, i cant wait for these knew unity features arriving this year, im sure they will be a big bonus!

Nice concept. I must say. You are right. RPG isn’t that simple. Actually no games is ever easy to make. However i must say, it looks nice and everything comes to fit nicely. Nice materials. Nice models. Hopefully i can see a nice game too.

Haha thanks, im working on a fun combat system, ive tried a few different types of combat but i think im going to have to stick with a fable type hack n slash instead of a click and kill system. Any feedback on improvements?

  1. Where can I buy this?!?!

  2. The Unity community has several inventory options to consider. While some are quite pricey, with this game coming together this well, it would be small capitol to build on.

I’m very very impressed with the quality of these screenshots Ben.

Looks like your game has a lot of potential! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback
I shall have a look into those inventory systems, Im basically stuck on how to lay it all out and use gui elements. Other than that theres nothing stopping me hah! Hopefully Unity3.5 will bring us an inventory to work with!

Smooth look’in start of an Rpg there!

Nice vids!

I am wondering why you don’t update this thread with the new things you’re doing from the What You’re Working On thread. Anyway, I love what you are making and am very envious of your ability to create something really nice out of the basics you are given. Your style is great, and keep up the good work! I am going to subscribe to this thread, so I expect you to push some updates!

Looking really good so far, although he walks a bit like John Wayne.
