it took almost an hour to Generate UV lightmaps for my object in my scene [its high poly] , i then exported it as an package,
and imported this in my new project, now from last 30 minutes i am waiting for it to import , why now it is taking time ??
cant i use beast without this, it takes so so much time
The import can take quite a while, sometimes well over an hour, especially if there a lot of large texture and light maps.
So if I understand correctly, you baked the lightmaps for a single object and now are importing it into a new project? Or do you mean you a whole scene? If you are creating a new scene with that object you don’t have to prebake the lightmap. Just run Beast on the scene when are done with it.
You’re saying that the “Generate Lightmap UVs” option in the Importer takes an hour for your file? That’s way too long (it shouldn’t take any longer than a few minutes at most) and I suggest you break the file up into smaller pieces.
I think I misunderstood what he wrote then if vahi mean just the uv’s and not the actual lightmaps.
vahi2008, when you say hi poly, just how hi poly are you talking?
