Advice on 3d content software.

I’m new to unity, but I’ve played with Torque before, and while I know that you probably can get any format to work with any engine, provided you’re willing to do enough conversions and such, I’d like to get recommendations on what’s the easiest, quickest pipeline to getting content into Unity.

I’ve got a license to Milkshape already, and am reasonably proficient with a few different modeling apps, but unfortunately, Blender is right out, as it makes my brain try to escape through my ears.

What works for you?

FBX

Milkshape imports and exports FBX - so you already have what you need to make a start on things.

If you get keen and want to get into a more advanced tool, there’s a HEAP of threads here comparing all the popular tools and discussing their relevance to Unity.

Wait for Blender 2.5 to work.

Much appreciated, Geppetto. Im golden, then.
