Hello, I upgraded my proyect to Unity 5.3 and all the Text Meshs had moved upwards. You made some changes in Unity 5.3.0f4 or it is a bug? (on Unity 5.2.3f1 is was working correctly).
Nobody have this problem?
Yup getting this Exact Issue any font that is not of Character Type âDynamicâ it becomes offset and only started on 5.3+ anything below and it functions/displays correctly
Example:
The Issue
How it should look (Using Dynamic Character Type)
Font Settings as Reference
Edit:
Submitted a Bug Report, Case ID #756085
Then we should make a bug report?
Tested on Unity 5.3.1 and it continues equalâŚ
Apparently itâs a Known Issue:
Though marked as resolved when itâs not, hopefully my bug report brought it to their attention that this is still actually an issue as they did respond stating they are aware.
Thanks for your answer.
Regards.
I donât think they even looked into this after that issue claimed to be fixed. Mine was closed as a duplicate two hours after submission. Has any other bug reports regarding this survived?
Bugs fixed just not in a public release yet. Keep an eye on the patch release notes.
Seems like itâs not fixed in the newest patch 5.31.p3?
If I move my meshes now to make it look right, will I have to move them again after the bug is fixed?
The fix is in next weeks 5.3.2p1
I am having this problem or a similar one with 5.3.2f1. All of my GUIButtons have their text too high up. I didnât have it wlth an earlier version of 5.x (sorry, not sure which one I upgraded from.)
Was this problem fixed for everyone else, or is this still the same issue?
I see the issue linked above is marked âfixed in 5.4.0â. So I guess I donât need anyone to confirm that its still an issue. ThanksâŚ
Seems to be fixed in 5.3.3!
I didnât see a specific release note about it, unless it was this one: âFixed issue with incorrect accent calculation for non-dynamic fonts. (747512)â. But I ran a quick test and all my button text was rendered correctly.
