Hi,
When we export our tree with alembic, the trunk and branches don’t have UVs. We’ve tried all sorts of settings. The only way we can get it to work with alembic is if we export the trunk by itself. We cannot export a whole tree and get UVs on the trunk or big branches.
Is there a fix for this, please?
We’ve tried in v9 and v10 (trial) and they both have the same issue.

Bumping - would be good to know if others have the same behaviour. We’ve tried lots of different trees from the store and they all export without UVs on the trunk if we export as alembic
Hi @pedrom-dadgostar,
We’ve not seen that issue! Are you using the SpeedTree Maya Importer plugin? Please note that the alembic importers don’t create materials for you, if that’s what you mean by UVs.
Hello,
No, this is just from the exporter inside speedtree. If we export as alembic, the tree trunk does not have UVs when we load them in any 3D application.
Testing further in Speedtree 10 and it seems to work ok there. Previous versions did not work correctly
Glad to hear it. Thank you for letting us know.
