alien character with the body formed by light

I already have a character modeled in Maya, however the best way to make parts of his body, in this case, the skin has the appearance of blue light? I use the free version, so not have access to the glow effects … however if I use some shaders and lens flares in certain parts of the skin of the character, visible parts, I’d get something similar?

thanks but i dont have unity pro license… but get glow effects is easy using PRO without any plugin like yours… not ? I’m a bit confused now…

Uh sorry, i misread your post.
There are default self-illumination shaders, which will do fine in your case. And if you want to give the illusion of glowing outside the mesh boundaries, you can duplicate the supposed to glow mesh and scale it slightly and use the same shaders on it as well.
Unity free is very limited in such effects.

iirc surface shaders have an emissive component for you, so you could have a map in your shader control where the parts of the body look like lights

to make the appearance of glowing, you could try something like attaching facing billboard planes to the char with an additive shader and some kind of blob texture to create a glow
