Alpha Health Bars?

I’m planning on implementing some Alpha texture Health bars but I’ve no GUI experience past the very basics.

Am I correct that I implement them all in texture form and just blend the alpha based on the health percentage?

Just looking for a little bit of guidance here… advice would be appreciated =)

You could have a behind texture. And then have a foreground texture grow to the length of the backtexture based on the current/max health.
