I was thinking of purchasing an Amazon Fire HD Tablet to test Unity Android games on but looking at the description for some of these tablets I saw an alarming note:
I’m worried that the apks built with Unity won’t run on the Fire and I’ll be wasting my money.
Anybody on here develop for Android and use a Fire HD tablet for testing?

You can read the Unity Player system requirements here: Unity - Manual: System requirements for Unity 2022.3.
I would highly recommend getting a tablet that natively runs Android ( no Emulators and Containers), and supports Google Play if you want to avoid any unnecessary headaches.
Running Unity apps on the Amazon Fire tablets is not officially supported.
