Ambient Occlusion and Roughness maps in Terrain Layers

Is it possible to add the Ambient Occlusion maps of my Substance Material (.sbsar with Substance Plugin)
to the terrain layers?

If you can pack/encode them into the other textures somehow and unpack/decode them in your custom terrain shader, then probably yes, otherwise no. But you can use microsplat, that i think has official support for pbr substances.

okay that doesnt sound very promising to me.
I switched to HDRP Template right now. Does the HDRP pipeline supports Terrain Layers with AO ?
I cant find anything native related to Terrains for the HDRP pipeline

I don’t know about HDRP, didn’t dive deep into it, it’s too unfinished for me. But just try microsplat, it’s free (MicroSplat | Terrain | Unity Asset Store)
