hello , when i want to active unity3d 3 from the internet activation i get this error an error occurred with the internet activation server. the operation timed out (error number 12002) please help

I experienced the same problem.

When the installer offers you manual activation, you can Save License Request (to your desktop, or somewhere easily accessible). Then, on the Unity manual activation site, click 'Choose File' and specify the license request that you've just saved. The manual activation site then downloads a .ilf file. Back in the installer, you click "Read License" (or a similarly-named button), and specify the .ilr file. Then you're good to go.

This worked for me, so I hope it helps you too!

Very thenks for your Answer , my problem fixed because i get unity 3.0.5 from unity3d website and active it . even my unity3d engine problemed with manual Activation site
