an offer for realistic scene

Hi all.
I work with Unity3d for 3 months. I spend just 2 or 3 hrs in a day. Also i collect my samples and small projects in my site.

In fact i can design my own models. Modeling and Texturing is very easy for me. Also i’m an embedded software developer so im familiar with Javascript and anyother SW.

Anyway;
My question is; why my assets not so realistic. I mean, i want almost similar with any other 3d game.
Look at attached pictures; What i must really do? More realistic grass? Ground texture? Lighting effects or Shadow?

Many thanks
Babur.

Your textures could really use some normal maps. And the entire scene really needs some better lighting set up, shadows are one really big thing you are missing.

Mostly the textures and lighting quality are making that scene but its clear that significantly more care has been taken to bring it to life. There are broken boards on the pier, vegetation growing on the old buildings, powerlines and shadows from them, unique trees, a background to give some context on the area, random assets populating the entire scene, etc…
