Anamorphosis Projection

There has been quite a bit of internet chatter on the subject of anamorphosis projection lately, and I wanted to get the opinion of some of the more tech minded people. Is this something that could be implemented in Unity, and if not, is it something that could be faked?

Yeah that shouldn’t be hard. Take your Texture (render target or what have you) then you setup the image in a regular projection where you want to view it. Then, for every vertex you raycast from your intended view location through the vertex until you hit a wall. Place that vertex at the point of collision.

Do this for all vertices and you should have an image that looks perfect when viewed from your intended direction, but skewed from any other.
