[Android][IOS] Jungle Bungle (Free)

Jungle Bill has made a bit of bungle. He ventured off the path and is now lost in a mystical rainforest.

Navigate Jungle Bill out of the rainforest collecting coins and gems along the way.

Avoid the spikes, falling coconuts and fiery pits of doom.

Destroy the evil snakes and snails using your magical axe.

Don’t make a bungle and choose the wrong path.

***** Whats New *****
New baddies and obstacles added.

Code updates.

Jungle Bill now has a magical axe.

Feel free to give it a try and leave any feedback if you feel inclined.

graphics look nice!

indeed very beautiful graphics, great job.

Thanks for the feedback.

Please elaborate, how was your first game a failure?

Very pleasing visuals. The camera and controls look very smooth. Looks like you created custom animations which fit your character well. That’s a nice touch.

Is Jungle Bungle a 3D game or 2.5D?

If there are more exciting elements in the game (enemies, weapons, pits of doom) you may consider showing those elements in the video - in addition to the standard side scrolling collect-a-thon.

Overall success on your second release!

My first release has had 39 installs after being in the play store for 7 months so i can hardly call it a raging success.

Anyway being a team of 1 I learn more every day as I continue to plug away trying different things.

The character is 3D whilst the gems and coins were rendered from 3D into sprite sheets.

I never really noticed the fact that the video does not show any of the enemies and obstacles so thanks for the pick up. I am thinking about doing an IOS release and will re cut a new video and capture some different aspects of the game play.

Your comments also got me to thinking of adding some additional things as well.

Thanks for the feedback.

So for all those that have been eagerly awaiting the IOS release it’s out now.

First post updated with links.

Looks very polished, not a mix-match of existing graphics and animations (not that you can’t get good results with existing items).

I know what you mean, and often feel the same… but keep in mind, number of installs is more about advertising budget (which I assume you have none) or luck, and less about quality of the game.

Thanks for the comments.

After my first game I thought i would try and make it look more appealing on the chance that it may get better traction, not convinced that theory holds any creadance.

You are correct, no money for advertising. Had more downloads in two days on IOS than I have had in the two months that it has been up on Google Play. Watched a video the other day where I heard one guy saying if you was getting 5 downloads a day on your app off Goggle Play you was doing well, had to laugh at that.

Interesting statistics for IOS though, had a 195 page visits and that translated to 35 downloads so 15% conversion rate, would be interested to know if this is the norm??
