Hello. I have an android plugin. I tried to use an .aar file. That didn’t work, so I extracted the classes.jar file out of it and then put that in the plugins folder. that works well. The problem is that in the manifest file in the Temp/StagingArea folder of my project folder, has a manifest file that deletes all of the permission when I build an apk. I tried to open it and add the permissions to it, then build the apk again, but it always deletes them. So I cant use any permissions in my plugin. Why is this? Can anyone help thanks bye.
I even tried putting my desired working manifest right next to the jar when I build the apk in unity and if I go into the unity project folder after the apk is built, the AndroidManifest file has nothing in it except the most basic things, all the permissions are removed. Thanks bye
You can try to modify manifest in APK file and then re-signature it. APK has CRC, you can’t just zip/unzip it.
Hi thanks for the reply, I changed my apk’s, extension to .zip. Then I opened the manifest file , its this wierd code like computer code that is not humanly readable. I don’t know what to do with it, what is crc
Ah I figured it out, there was an error in my manifest file when I pasted it into the Temp/StagingArea folder, then when I built it, it would not show the error in the console, just deleted it. so I put my manifest in the plugins/ android folder beside the jar and then it showed the error in the console, i fixed it and now it works, thanks
