Android is implementing a new push notification flow similar to iOS. This will radically change how the interaction of asking for push notification permissions works on Android. Without being able to target SDK 33 we cannot control when that first ask for permission happens which is a very important point in the user lifetime.
Given that cloud build only just implemented SDK 31 I am wondering if there is a timeline for SDK 33 implementation currently.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a timeline for this yet, but we have created a feature request to enable Android 33 with all the context of how much this affects users. It will be up to the build team to prioritize the request based on that information.

Yes, 32 and 33 are available. We are monitoring for the availability of 34 as well which Google should be releasing at some point in Q3 2023
