I’m trying to build a quick scene for an android emulator. My problem is that when it asks me to select the root folder of the android SDK, it isn’t there. I’ve tried looking in /Library, and even ~/Library, but there’s no “android” folder at all. I have installed the kit, because I can open it and stuff. Haven’t created a project with it yet, but there shouldn’t be any need to for it to have an installation folder.
Yep, I built for Android once, on another comp, but then that comp packed in. I know I need to find the Android SDK path. Only thing is, I don’t know where it is, so, that’s the whole point of me asking really…
What u talking about, download the SDK from the official website, and do updates, place on your desktop and then in Unity settings select the folder on desktop
“download the SDK from the official website” Done.
“do updates” Obviously.
“place on your desktop and then in Unity settings select the folder on desktop” It doesn’t matter if it’s on the desktop or in applications: I tried choosing the .app, it closed the selection window and bought me back to the beginning (the Users folder)
“To get started on Mac OSX:
Unpack the ZIP file you’ve downloaded. By default, it’s unpacked into a directory named android-sdk-mac_x86. Move it to an appropriate location on your machine, such as a “Development” directory in your home directory.
Make a note of the name and location of the SDK directory on your system—you will need to refer to the SDK directory later when using the SDK tools from the command line”
So the question only you can answer, is: Where did you move the unpacked files?
