I downloaded Unity 3.1 in an attempt to create a game for android. From what it looks like I must pay for a license(pro version) in order to publish for android. Is this correct or am I missing the free standard android unity somewhere?
When I go to “Build Settings…” and try to change the platform to Android Unity says “Your license does not cover Android Publishing.”
I searched and could not find an answer to this.
Yes it will require a license that will cost $399 like unity iOS non pro costs, but that license is not available yet as Unity Android is still in licensee only prerelease beta (so unity android was not released yet officially)
can we develop a game in the trial version for android and then publish by using 400 dollar license?..or should we buy the pro version for 1400 and then 400 extra for android?
If by “trial version” you mean the free license, yes, you can use that; you don’t need Pro. You only need Pro if you want Android Pro.
