UPDATE: Setting the weight of the animation layer to ‘1’ fixed it. The animation now plays as expeceted.
Hello,
I’m trying to animate a character with an Anima2D IK rig. I can create a single animation to effect the body but I was hoping to also be able to run a second animation on specific parts of the body via animator layers. So far any additional animations can be recorded, but don’t seem to get played.
I’m doing the same thing now. I’m not sure what your issue is but if you go to window>animations and see your one animation there you click on the drop down and [creat new animation] then you just hit the record button and move the bones, move to the next frame in the timeline and move again.
As far as the layer goes, yes just make the weight of the layer 1. My player character has no face but I have a face layer that changes the face at certain times. You’ll want to not have the same sprite in your normal animation as the one in the layer. For example, as I said my main character animations have no face because that is done in the face layer.
