Hello, I have bought FP Hands and it’s hand his own weapon. Hands has his own separately animations and weapon(let’s call it “Weapon 1”) also has his own separately animations such as run, shoot, melee, reload, grenade throwing. There is also a model which they animates together Weapon attached to the hands. I wonder if I want to change the weapon for other custom weapon (for example: “Weapon 2”) may I animate it as “Weapon 1”? Now hands and his own weapon which I bought from Asset Store animates with mecanim and is “Generic”. Help me please. I’m sorry If this question already posted before.
All depends on the weapon and the animations for it. You can replace the original with something different but the reload for a pistol would be different then that of a rifle.
You will have to expand the animator controller to contain different animations based on the weapon they are carrying.
Thank you Archania. How I understood I need create custom animation clip for new weapon? Is there no way to use animation clips from Weapon 1? Something like changing avatar? How we know to Animate character with Mecanim in humanoid. Because I don’t know how to create exactly animation like in Weapon 1. Such as animations Melee and grenade througing. I found a video how to create Reload animation in YouTube. I’ll watch it tomorrow. Hope I could find other animation tutorials)))
