Animating Camera causes black screen

As per the title -

I have a simple, light mapped, scene. When I run this scene on my android device (Nexus 5) without any camera animation it is completely fine and displays properly. However, if I attach an animator to the camera which just has one animation state that moves the camera through the scene, the screen is completely black and never ever shows the scene.

Whats more weird that in the editor and PC builds this is working fine. The animations runs perfectly.

How can animating a camera (just the position and rotation) cause a black screen?

Same issue here. I sometimes get an all blue screen as well. Android Note 3 testing. I started a new projects compiled immediately and it worked. I added a model and compiled and it worked. I added textures and compiled and it worked. I created a camera animation and it failed. This started happening when I switched to Unity 5.3.1. I can confirm that PC build works fine.

That is exactly same as me. I tried again, new project with a few objects - fine. Added lights and baked - fine. Move the camera by script using iTween - fine. Animated the camera via the animator - bang, black or just now a green screen…

As a quick workaround, I scripted camera movement and it worked fine. I’ve been trying to get away from the animator window in general so this is not the end of the world for me.

Same problem here, animation of camera using animator works fine when I run it from the editor, but shows a blank screen on iOS device (iPad Air).

EDIT: Just tested with 5.3.1p4, still have the same problem.

It seems that the default interpolation mode (Euler) is not working correctly for the Rotation property of the Animation. A workaround for this is to select another interpolation mode by right clicking the Rotation property and selecting Interpolation>Euler Angles (Quaternion Approximation):

Thanks for the heads up. Seemed to fix my problem.
