Not quite sure if this post belongs in this section but- I was hoping someone can shed some light on my question regarding frame rates.
I am doing animation sequences for my 1st game. The test animation batch I made in Maya was set at 30 fps. For the walk cycle, I made the character take 2 steps with the run having 4 ‘steps’.
Needless to say, the test batch was atrocious. So the question is what frame rate should I set Maya when creating the sequences? Should I set it at 60 or higher?
thanks jgb143, it is helpful…i had already created a new set using 60 fps prior to reading documentation, but wasn’t quite aware of the scripting side.
Unity imports framerate from 3D tools, so it should work with any framerate. Although I remember having framerate import issues with one of Maya versions (it doesn’t write framerate into FBX). Which Maya are you on?
