Animation gets copied to another game object in a different scene without meaning to

I’m animating in unity 3-D. So I added an animation to a gameobject in one scene and another animation to a completely different gameobject in another scene. But somehow making changes in the clip of one object is affecting the other. I didn’t try to copy the animations and made sure the loaded clipes are different. Any clue as to why this is happening and how to fix this?

actually, I’m not sure what you are doing, but I shouldn’t be this way, I can only give this checklist to you, just check whether you have checked these things or not:

  1. attach animator component to both objects in both scenes
  2. create two animator controllers with different names
  3. make sure that both of these objects are using different animator controllers
    if you use different animator controllers, then making changes to one will not affect the other one.
