Animation in play mode does NOT match in preview mode. XYZ is drunk and high

i made an animation of a ufo exiting warp, flying over to a platform and hovering in place before flying off and re-entering warp. in preview everything is fine. but once i actually play the animation, all rotation and location info is 100% wrong and the little bastard is drifting miles away from where it is supposed to in completely incoherent patterns.

this should not be happening at all and it makes no sense why this is happening at all

From your description, it may be an interpolation problem. Check whether the in/outSlope of these keyframes in your clip meets your requirements.

already accounted for that, but it only affects how it plays in PREVIEW. when I press the Other play button in the scene page, the animation is entirely distorted and janky and off center. I feel like I should create an animation file in blender instead and see if that works better.

I would like to ask further. In preview mode, did you click the play button in the AnimationWindow to play, or did you directly drag the current frame to preview? Is the effect the same for both? Because in theory, the former should be consistent with the play mode.

the animation worked fine in preview mode in the animation window. the problem is NOT the creating of the animation or previewing it or playing the preview of it in animation window,

The problem is when I hit the OTHER play button in the main window at the TOP of the entire program window. Just all the way up there next to the big help button.

also this website gives me an error every time i try to upload a picture to show you
