Animation issue?

I have a simple sliding door model. Idle, open, and close, animations… If i try playing any of the animations… the model jumps a mile away… why? Transforms are frozen within maya so i dont understand. Using legacy rig (store in new root).

Also another issue that may or may not be affiliated is the fact that exporting to fbx in meters or automatic… gives me the correct size in unity according to hte grid, but it the top most node from the export is always .01, .01, .01 scale wise.

Can you share the scene?

What happens if you play the animation in editor? (scrub back and forward in the animation editor)

no movement at all inside the animation viewer… I dont understand why it seems like moving object a a foot to the left has become difficult. Unity used to be this easy thing lol… Keep in mind i never used version 4. I went from version 3 up.

Can anyone explain to me this mask stuff? Cause it has an error saying… “Mask does not match heirarchy. Animation might not import.” There is an option to click fix… but i have no idea wtf this would do.

Though selecting the root motion node might fix it… because the grid below the model moves at that point… i ahve no idea if thats what i want though. Since i have no way to test the animation inside the editor like i used to with hitting play button and selecting an animation to play or loop there. Which now that i think about it… do i have to program things to animate? Thats going to be dumb for level design.
