Animation not affecting character

Hi all I am new to unity so hold tight!!!

I have an animation of a piller that rotates around in a circle, and part of the piller I have polls sticking out that can knock a character off a platform. The issue i am having is that the animation/object goes through my character.

What am i doing wrong?

To have a physic interaction not induced by a physic movement, you need to set the rigidbody of the animated object as kinematic.
