Animation not working.

Ok I am still new to unity so perhaps I am doing something wrong. I followed the instructions in the manual: Select object in Hierarchy, click record in timeline, go to new spot on timeline, move object, click record. Nothing. I am assuming you are supposed to get key frame ticks on the timeline when you hit record. That doesnt happen for me. Am I missing something?

Sounds like a bug. You mean the hieracy and not project view, right? From memory the “s” button sets keys, try that?

Works just fine on my end. You should definitely see a red “tick mark” wherever you’ve set a keyframe in the time line, if you’re not seeing that then something’s amiss for sure.

I got it to work. Not really sure what the issue was.

Another question. I have animated some things in Maya and when I put the scene into Unity, I cannot see the animation on the individual objects. If I select the scene in the Hierarchy I see a bunch of keys on the timeline. But if I select the object within that scene, the animation is not on the timeline. Is there a way to see/manipulate the animation for individual objects?

In the import settings- the button at the top of Project view. You can specify where the animation nodes should be there.
