Animation plays but bones dont rotate. Help!

Hello.

I wonder if you guys can help me on a problem that has got the better of me for the last few days, quick searches have found no answers.

I’m importing Mo-cap data (C3D) from MotionBuilder to Unity (Through .FBX format) in Unity the animations play perfectly, but they do not seem to be rotating any bones in Scene view, so I cannot edit them any further.

Looking at the Head Controller example files, the bones all rotate around, I even used those files and bone structure, importing and baked animations to the “Hero” .fbx and reimported to Unity, but still no joy.

Maybe storing animation in root or something like that is the cause of the problem?

Think I’ve found the problem, The localRotations of each joint are in fact rotating, (as Quaternions) whereas the rotations in the inspector are not. Most probably due to Local and World rotation differences.

Bones animation data is just local rotations in relation to its parent. Thank you manual. :slight_smile:
