Hi, I created an animation in Daz Studio 4 for the genesis charactere. when I export the animation as an FBX to unity, it play very well in unity, but the problem is that the charactere always move to the origin (0,0,0) even if I put it on any place. It seem that the transition is a part of the animation as I can see in the Animation Window.
I can’t edit the transition because the animation is read only in the animation window.
I am new to these stuff, what is the problem ?
also, I tested a charactere (david) in Daz Studio 3, It seem that there is no transition when I import it to unity…
It’s because root node of character was exported with translation that moves character to origin.
I was unable to find an option in daz studio to disable exporting local transformation of root node, yet.
You can solve your problem by removing ( “deleting” ) all transformation of root node in Animation window (in unity). You just need to “duplicate” (ctrl+D) your read-only animation in “project” window. Duplicate can be modified. It’s not ideal solution but works.
