We have characters in our game that have about 600 different animations .
And we are going to have more that 10 characters in our scenes .
My question is should we make all the animations in one file in 3dsmax ? or make them separate ?

Wow, 600 different animations per character, talk about logistics nightmare. I’ve had problems with Unity importing from Blender with the animations not importing after so many hundred frames (~550). If 3DSMax is anything like that, separate files might be the way you have to go.
