Animation.Update Profiler

Hey Guys,

Actually working on a 2D Game and have the problem that it sometimes lags a few seconds randomly. Not that i got Unity Pro i can use the Profiler but it doenst help me much.

When it lags, it sais that Animation.Update has a total CPU Usage of 80.0%. I turned of my Character Controller Animation script but this doens't help. What can it be else?

One thing that slowed me down was when importing meshes, it was adding an Animator component to everything. The time to iterate through those really added up - was taking 20ms in my biggest level.
