Animation

First off, let it be known thata every cent to my name is going to buying Unity in the next week or so.

I need a way to animate models. Blender is evil. When I put an armature into my model and parent to closest bone (like EVERY tutorial says to) and then try moving a joint it starts pulling, ripping, and distorting my model. Dim3 Inspire is worse. When I try importing something (regardless of what it is) it tells me that the model has too many textures and that the max is 16. So tell me, is there any cheap way to animate on a mac that works? -_-; Thanks.

Still looking myself.

noob question: Does Blender or Dim3 Silo or cheetah have a way of weighting vertecies, so some polys stretch more than others?
AC

blender does:

Cheetah Does!

And it is the easiest app to weight in ever…

Wow, old topic. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve since found out that “parent to closest bone” is quite inaccurate and that you need to manually parent the verticies if you want to animate them. And now Unity 2 supports animations straight from a .blend file.
