I am pretty new to Unity and very happy with it until now!
Today I faced a weird problem. I am trying to use an animated character that was created in maya. The character has to animations, that are played after each other. If I save the file and add it to the asset-folder, unity imports it. But if I enable the “Split Animations”-option and fill in the two used animations and hit “Apply”, they are not created inside the object and therefore cannot be used.
If I enable the “Bake Animations”-option, the animations are created and can also be played correctly, but the object is extremely deformed in the scene-view if no animation is played. This is a problem, because I need to create a ragdoll using the ragdoll-wizard and therefore need a correct T-pose of the character.
Has someone faced a similar problem and has any idea how to solve it?
