So I have animations that do some funny things when they are brought into unity. At first glance the animation appear twitchy and some look nothing like they do in maya. I looked at the animations in the editor in unity and notice there are A) more keyframes then in maya and B) some of them are placed in very random extreme positions, which cause the model to move erratically.
I found that duplicating the animation will allow me to edit the keyframes in which case I can go through and delete some of the random un-needed keyframes but on some animations it seems like there are too many to try and deal with. whats even more weird is not many of these animations are really all that complex (hell one of the more complex animations imported better then others). So I guess the question is why does this happen and is there a way to fix it, or keep it from happening
unity version is 3.1.0f4 (my school is really slow at updating their labs)
I’ve tried turning off compression and that does nothing.
