Animations on iOs Unity or external 3d

I’am making a simple animation , main character is tuning off the switch. What is the better way?

  1. Make an animation of main character in 3D Software ( turning off the switch) , add one bone to the switch and animate all in 3dSoftware,

2.Make an animation of main character in 3D Software ( turning off the switch) and animation of the switch make in unity, then try to sync all this via scripts.

How you guys do this in your games ?

i’d animate the arm/hand in Cheetah3D.

it is very easy to animate the switch (you basically just rotate or slide the “knob” so I would just do that in Unity

BUT there’s no problem doing the switch animation in Cheetah also.

finally you say “synchronize via sripts” … that is extremely easy (one line of code here) so no problem there!

so 1 - do the hand in cheetah. 2 - it is easy to do the switch in unity, or, do in cheetah if you prefer. 3. either way, do them separately 4. it is easy to sync!
