Animations with GameObjects

Is it possible to create a skeleton between GameObjects and import an animation to use with that skeleton?

I have the following GameObject set, but I don’t know how to apply an animation to it:

If those boxes are going to be something you want to animate then you need to setup a bone system. Depending on which modeling program you’re using of coarse. So you would want to set that all up first and then do all the separate animations for the object in the modeling program as well.
